With the blackjack game, if you and the dealer tie, you don't win or lose any points. I would like to see a similar rule for hi-lo where you don't lose any points for guessing the same card that is drawn. The question you are answering is whether you want to bet that your card will be higher or lower than the card drawn, so I don't think it is fair to lose the bet when the card is the same.

I have to disagree with you.
That way it's not fun to draw an ace or a 2 because there is no way you can lose, it's easy enough as it is to win tons of points in this game, I'd like to see it get more difficult, not easier.
But that's just my opinion

It's easy to win points, yes, but thankfully you cannot cheat... And in my eyes, it takes some logic, well it can. If you get a king, likely it'll be lower. If you get a 5, its probably higher but not always. You always take a risk in my opinion, with the cards between 6 and 10. smile

I tend to agree with wildebrew. it's not just becuase I'm dating him that i agree with him. there would just be no risk at all in drawing an ace or a two, and with me, a lot of those come up.

I like the game the way it is. Yeah so you get two of the same card once in a while. Like dealer draws a 8 and you bet higher and get a 8 and still lose. What are the chances that you'll get 2 of the same card again? And yes I love this game because you can't cheat.

<grin> the chances are approximately 1/17 i.e. you draw the same card approximately every 17th time you play (on average).

I think, for the first turn of the cards, you shouldn't lose points, but otherwise you should.

I like it how it is. It's already so easy to rack up the points, so they have to make a bit more of a challenge.

yes peoples, I think we shall leave it the way it is. It's challenging right now. I still wish it could be more so, but...well, it's all good for now.

I think it's fine the way it is, and if anything, it would be interesting to see if it could be made more challenging.

The only thing I'd suggest changing about the high-low game is that buzzer noise. If you have to play using head phones as I often do that sound can really be uncomfortable. If you'd prefer not to change it maybe edit the sound file in a sound editor like sound forge or something and back the volume down a bit? Just a thought.
